With 12 hours to go and only 2.5 mm of rain having fallen so far, September 2014 is currently the driest month ever since rainfall records began at this location in April 2008.
At the moment that title goes to April 2011 with 11.1 mm. So will this month take the new title?
It seems like it stands a good chance, but - there is a band of rain forecast to cross this area later this afternoon! So check back later to see if September 2014 can take the prestigious title from April 2011 - or if it will lose it with just hours to go!
