**Although the weather turned unsettled on Wednesday, the maximum was actually higher than the previous two days. This was because the wind turned from an on-shore, and therefore cool, south-easterly, which is usually the case as a high pressure area moves away eastwards, to a south-westerly, which arrives in Falmouth across land.
