The maximum temperature of 15.8 was recorded on Tuesday evening. The highest temperature reached on Wednesday was nearer 14 degrees C, some 7.4 degrees lower than Tuesday. Had this been confirmed, it would have been the biggest temperature difference in one day since I started keeping records in 2003.
