In Brief:
A cloudy and rather depressing month with several overcast, gloomy days, particularly during the second week.  Low pressure at the beginning of the month led to a wet first week, but even when high pressure took over during the second week it remained mostly cloudy, and wet weather returned during the third week.  There was a brief fine spell during the 4th weekend, but low pressure and wet weather returned at the very end of the month.
