Sunny.
Temps: Min: 14.0; Max: 19.6*. Rain: Nil.

*In June this year a new and more reliable thermometer came into use at this location, which may read maximum temperatures around 0.5 to 1 deg C lower than the previous one.
In today's case, the older thermometer recorded 20.4 degs C, exceeding the previous highest ever October temperature at this location [20.2], recorded by the same thermometer in 2006. It therefore follows that today was the warmest October day ever at this location [since at least 2003].

*Today saw the UK's highest ever official maximum temperature for October, namely 29.9 degs C in Gravesend, Kent. Wales also had it's hottest October day on record, 28.2 in Hawarden.
