*Just when many parts of the UK were cooling down, the absence of the SE breeze meant that the maximum temperature on Monday at this location was actually 4.8 degs C higher than on Sunday.
It was the first time in 2011 that the temperature exceeded 20 degs C. In 2010 this happened on April 26th, exactly 52 weeks ago!
It was also the warmest day since 11 September 2010.
