Heavy overnight rain with thunder. Mainly cloudy during the day with further rain during the morning and - again in the evening - again!

Almost all today's rain fell during the night. It was also the wettest 24 hour period since 23 September 2010.
Even though this month is only one week old, there has already been more than double the amount of rain that fell in the whole of December 2010.
