June 2010 Summary

Temperature [Minimum]:
The lowest temperature recorded in June 2010 was 10.2 degs C on both the nights of 15th/16th and 21st/22nd June, making this June the first since 2003 or before, with an absence of temperatures below 10 degs C.
The highest night-time minimum was 17.8 degs C on the night of 28th/29th, which was the highest ever recorded for a June night, also since 2003 or before.
The average night time minimum for June 2010 was 12.59, the highest for June since 2007.

Temperature [Maximum]:
The lowest daytime temperature for June 2010 was 15.7 degs C on the 7th, making it the third coolest June day since 2003 or before. The two that were cooler were both in 2009.
The highest daytime temperature was 26.9 degs C on the 28th, which conversely was the highest ever recorded for June since 2003 or before.
The average maximum temperature for June 2010 was 21.78, making it the warmest since 2006 and the second warmest since 2003 or before.
Temperatures exceeded 20 degs C on 23 days this June - the most since 2006 and the second highest number since 2003 or before.
They also exceeded 25 degs C on 3 days, which is the most times in any month since July 2006.

Rain:
37.6 mm of rain fell in June 2010, making it the wettest month since March, and the wettest June since 2007 or before.
By far most of the month's rain, however, fell on just two days - the 1st and the 7th - the latter being the wettest day of the month with 18.8 mm. This was also the wettest June day at this location since my rainfall readings began in time for 2008.
Measurable rain fell on only five days this month, and there were 22 completely dry days - the most in a month since June 2009.
Only 0.8 mm of measurable rain fell after the 8th and there was a continuous dry spell of 14 days between the 15th and 28th.
