Thursday's maximum was 6.8 degs C [12.2 F] lower than Wednesday's, which in Fahrenheit terms means a maximum of 70.7 on Wednesday, and a mere 58.5 on Thursday, thus completely missing the 60s.
This was not quite the record one-day difference for me - that was in March 2006 when the maximum shot from 9.0 C [48.2 F] on the 23rd, to 16.0 [60.8] on the 24th!
