Temperature [Minimum]:
On the night ending 26th the temperature fell to 7.6 degs C, which was the coldest September night since 6.8 in 2010. The highest minimum of the month was 15.1 degs C on the night ending 11th. There has been a milder night than this every September since 2008.
The average minimum for September 2015 was 11.22 degs C, this being the lowest at this location since at least 2004. Previously the lowest had been 11.59 in 2008.
Temperature [Maximum]:
The coolest day of September 2015 was the 14th with 15.6 degs C. This was the lowest September max since 15.5 in 2012. The warmest day of the month was the 10th with 20.6 degs C. This is the lowest September max since at least 2004. Previously the lowest had been 21.1 in 2011.
The average maximum for September 2015 was 18.07 degs C, this being the lowest at this location since at least 2004. Previously the lowest had been 18.83 in 2011.
The temperature exceeded 20 degs C on two days in September 2015, which is the fewest in any September since at least 2004. Previously this had been 4 days in 2011.

Winter Temperatures
As far as possible, daily reports will show the minimum overnight and maximum daytime temperatures, qualified by a note showing the extremes if they occurred during the opposite period.
For the purpose of monthly reports, summaries etc, the extreme minimum and maximum for the 24 hour period concerned will apply, regardless of the time they were reached.
Exceptions to this are:
(i) when the temperature is higher at the beginning of the new 24 hr period [2200] than the maximum reached the next day, or (ii) when the temperature is lower at the end of the current 24 hr period [2200] than the minimum reached the previous night, and in both cases when there is both a clear night-time minimum and a clear daytime maximum and the maximum is higher than the minimum. In these cases the daytime maximum and previous night's minimum are reported.
Exceptions example: Temp at 2200 Monday: 14.0; Min o/night Mon/Tue: 7.0; Max daytime Tuesday: 10.0; Temp at 2200 Tuesday: 5.0. In this case, the Tuesday min would be reported as 7.0, and max would be reported as 10.0. The actual 24-hour max of 14.0 would have been included in Monday's figures, and the actual 24-hour min of 5.0 would be included in Wednesday's.
